Letter
of Inquiry process on hold for 2008
The WestWind Foundation has
put on hold its Letter of Inquiry process for the 2008 grant
cycle in both the Reproductive Health and Rights program and
the Environment program. Grant proposals will now be by invitation

WestWind Foundation Launches Southeast Climate Initiative
In late 2006, WestWind
formally launched its new climate initiative. The initiative
supports non-profit organizations that are working throughout
the Southeast United States to build public support for immediate
action on climate change. The foundation will consider a range
of strategies, but has prioritized organizations working to:
promote state and/or regional collaborative action through
creative partnerships with business; launch grassroots campaigns
and educational efforts, particularly to stop the construction
of new coal-fired power plants; or enable state and/or local
government action by working with local leaders. To learn
more about the initiative, please view a list of our climate
grantees. If you are not certain if your organization
is a fit and you would like to discuss WestWind's criteria,
please contact info@westwindfoundation.org.
